What are Specials?
Pharmaceutical Specials, also known as unlicensed medicines, serve the unique clinical needs of individual patients when licensed medications are deficient.
Unlike licensed medicines, unlicensed medicines don't require marketing authorisation before being made available to patients. UK legislation permits their production and distribution to address unique clinical needs that licensed products cannot meet.
